Vintage Artwork Adaptation by Barbara Tomlin

The third of several adaptations coming out of a humorous print from an 1881 Italian illustrated periodical. This adaptation shows frogs dressed in street clothes along the waterfront sharing New Year's greetings on strips of paper with a frog swimming in the river. In the background, more frogs row a boat in the lake, others wave from a balloon and a train marked "1881," while other frogs sit on top of Mount Vesuvius watching the action below.
